GraYce
Coming Summer 2025!
50% of net proceeds will provide grants for POC authors to help cover costs for independent publishing.
Book Description:
Grayce wants a word with the Universe. Is it a disturbance in the veil? An oversight? How did they give passage to her mom who haphazardly floated a “Y” into the otherwise symphonic rhythm of the traditional spelling of G-r-a-c-e? For twenty-two years, Grayce believes the “Y” in her name has opened her up to family trauma, perfectionism, and anxiety. On an unassuming night at The Fenimore—a subterranean bar which used to be the city morgue—the excitement of her blind date fades when she becomes entranced by a portal that seemingly opens through a lantern in a painting on the wall.
Flickers and flutters, vibrations and sounds, motion quietly continues all around her as a nonphysical energy begins to divulge details of her murder. The interaction sets into motion a string of events that not only cause Grayce to further question the “Y” in her name, but will have people talking about her for generations to come.
